I’ve blogged a lot about Samantha lately. So, today is about my other Cutey, Timothy. Timothy LOVES music and LOVES to dance. It lives in his heart. Sometimes he dances when there’s no music and sings his own songs. When he does hear a song, his response is immediate… his eyes light up and he dances and claps.

Last night we were at Walking Street, Chiang Mai. We met some friends there – saying hi to a few visiting for a week or so, and saying goodbye to a dear friend who’s leaving on a jet plane this week (boo hoo). At one point we had stopped to chat with Autumn, the young missionary kid who is on her way to America for the next part of her Grand Adventure (ie. she just graduated, and is going back to her home country). There we stood, literally in the middle of Walking Street, hugging, chatting, trying not to cry.

Timothy heard music and began to dance. Then he spotted the musician – a boy sitting on a mat playing a traditional Thai instrument, just a few feet from us. So, Timothy walked over to him, sat next to him and started to dance, Timothy style. Immediately, there was a crowd gathering, watching this little white kid dancing to traditional music. So, Timothy stood and really put on a show. People in the crowd took photos and video… I wonder where we’ll find them. He was so cute. I so wish we had taken our camera as well.

I know the boy made a lot more money last night than he normally would.

I usually avoid the Walking Street, unless we have visitors. But I’m tempted to take Timothy back next week just so I can take some video of him.
