A (male) friend and I were talking the other day about Games Women Play.
By the end of the conversation, we had come to this conclusion:
Girls are born with an intrinsic knowledge of The Game and all it’s rules. They are Game Experts before they are out of diapers.
Boy have haven’t got a clue that The Game even exists, and spend most of their lives trying to figure what the heck is going on.
Boys usually find out about the Game in one of 3 ways (not in any particular order):
1. a kind Female Friend who lets him in on the secret – usually one that doesn’t particularly like The Game and doesn’t see the point in keeping Half the Players in the Dark;
2. an older, wiser Male Friend who still hasn’t got a clue what the rules are or The Game’s Purpose;
3. Intense Heartbreak – the kind where the Girl rips his heart out and stomps on it – which sends him on a quest to find out what the heck happened.
In all three cases, Boys and Men will spend most of their lives scratching their heads, trying to figure out What the Heck is Going On.
Tell me what you think. Impress me with your wisdom and insights.
Do you agree or disagree? Do you even believe The Game exists?
And remember, this is supposed to be fun.
Of course I don't agree. Human beings are human beings. Perpetuating the idea that "women are like this" and "men are like that" only widens the gap.
Well there are quite a few women who don't like The Game. The frustrating part about that is when people assume you are playing it and wonder what you're keeping from them, when in reality, all your cards really are on the table.
I think after a particularly bad round, everyone stops playing. That's called growing up. Some women admittedly never get there. Just don't play with them. 🙂
Found your blog at Thirsty Thursday, hope you get a moment to drop by Happy Hour Projects and say hello!

To be honest, I do think that many people play 'games'. What I don't agree with is that girls play it while boys are left 'out in the dark'. But more importantly, the game that far too many men assume women are playing is called….
Communication
But there are just as many women out there as men who are completely unable (due to lack of being taught how as they grown up) or unwilling (because they'd rather mess with someone's head). Luckily, we are in an age when men aren't frowned upon as they once were when they try to express their feelings.
