Okay, we are staying in this cute little cabin in the woods, and our friends who own the cabin have horses – which they let us ride whenever we want. So, this morning Sean decides to go for a ride. I stayed home and tried to put a dent in a cross-stitch I’m working on.
Sean came home an hour later, bruised and battered and said, “The horse bucked me off.” Apparantly something spooked the horse, and he started bucking really strongly. He wanted Sean off his back! Sean managed to stay on for about 10 seconds, but the horse gave a final rear up and buck, and Sean went flying over it’s head onto the ground. He sprained his hand cause it got stuck in the bridle as he went down, and he he’s got some nice bruises, but overall he’s okay. Sean’s a really good rider, and he’s never been bucked off – he has always found a way out. But his response to the episode:
“This is a dream come true – I’ve always wanted to ride the bucking bronco at the Rodeo!”
And, of course, he got right back on the horse, and showed him who’s boss.
I’m glad I stayed home – if I had been there I probably would have cried. And if I had been the one bucked off, I’d be alot more banged up and I’d probably never ride again. I’m a wimp.
My word! Sean’s such a “wild” guy, eh? (yeah, we luv ya sean. =D) And you’re not a wimp, Anne!
Btw, the friend’s brother that was killed in the motorbike accident… I don’t think you knew them. Does the name Dutton ring any bells?
Yes, I am up there with Amber..You live in Thailand Anne, that makes you not a wimp, I mean…you live in a country were your dogs bark diffrently for a snake! My dog barks the same from the comfort of our american home. Anyway, hope to see you all soon.
