I was just looking at some photos of my friends in Thailand, and realized how much I missed them. I also got this pang in my stomach that said, “i could do with some Thai Jasmine rice, Tom Kha Gai and Penang Curry or perhaps some Khaw Soiy Kai.” Mmm, good. I haven’t eaten real food for about 4 weeks (ie. Thai food).
We are having a great time here in Florida. Upon arrival here a little over a month ago, both Sean and I fell into a coma, induced by being burnt out for more than a year, but still having to press on. I think we both began to wake up about a week ago. I know I definitely have a spring in my step that’s been missing for quite a while. And I’m actually singing again!! Now that shows a transformation in my state of mind.
While I do office work, Sean’s working on home improvement projects for the fam – yesterday they dimantled the pool, cause we decided it needs to be moved, and today he’s making a sound room for David and Mom, so they can record their own demos. Very cool.
We’ve also had lots of opportunities to speak and share at churches, bible studies, and with pastors. We both had a lot of fun sharing with various Awana groups in the area, encouraging the kids to seek after God and listen to his voice. We even went roller skating with one group, and just hang out with the kids. It was awesome. It’s been alot of fun to hang out with old friends – just the other other day we ate with a friend Sean hasn’t seen in years.
I’m also involved with a bible study group, studying the Patriachs (DVD study w/ Beth Moore). It’s great! There are times I have to pause the dvd and let what she says sink in. I highly recommend it to bible study groups!!
Yeah, in america, we kind of “Americanize” even our “foreign” foods, I have yet to find something authentic thai food. I have not been to many places yet…but…I miss thai food so I can see how you really do after 6 years!
WOW..burn out? You? Well if you and sean have more spring in your step than when I met you, you are a lot more lively couple than I thought…I thought sean had life and energy before…if he has more thats a little unbeilevable.
A Beth Moore bible study?! My Friend Cara in Ohio was doing her “Braking Free” one I think, she said it was good to. I have been meaning to find one of her books after my Smith Wigelsworth book “Ever increasing Faith”…yeah, if you recognize the title it is the one I brougth to thailand with me last summer…I need to get readding..LOL.
I am glad to hear you all getting so much done and acomplished. Its a good feeling. Miss you tons, is it two or three weeks before I get to see you?
Well, thank you for blogging Anne, I missed knowing what was up.
Aww… we all miss you guys too! We dropped off a friend of ours at a little house that was like, one soi down from where ya’lls house is and I was like “I wanna go see Sean and Anne!” 🙁
Glad you’ve got this time for a rest though! Keep singing! You’ve got a great voice and I’m SURE it encourages and uplifts more than just yourself. 😉
Say “hey” to the whole Sanborn Clan for me, k? Luv ya’ll!
