Today we woke up late and did some work on Sean’s book. Then just as we were setting out on a long walk to the beach, our friend Stephen called to invite us to go fishing at the beach. So, we quickly ate lunch, and took off for a different beach and went fishing with Stephen and his daughter Lauren. We know Stephen and his family from Thailand, so it’s great to have someone to reminisce about home with.
It was nice to sit on the breezy beach, with the sun shining and a blanket wrapped around my head and shoulders and watch the boy fish and Lauren play in the water. I also played “The Bait Woman”, making sure the boys had enough bait for their rods. They spent more time feeding the smart fish – who would nibble but not bite. Stephen managed to catch one fish, but the rest of us had no luck. Sean was greatly disappointed cause he was looking forward to a fish dinner.
We had a good time together. And isn’t that the point of fishing – quality time with loved ones??? Or is that just something you say when you don’t can’t any fish??
Ahh its been too long since I have been fishing!
We went last year up in Larsen National forest. It was so peacefull. I love that about fishing. You CAN spend time with your loved ones and there are no words needed.
I am glad you had a good day even though there were no fish…
