On Sunday night I lit 2 candles to remember my tiny Peter, and then Sean lit about 4 or 5 others as well, so we had them all around our little apartment. They burned for about 5 hours, until we were ready to go off to bed.
As the candles were burning, I went on line and bought my ticket back to Thailand. I fly out on November 28. Originally we were supposed to stay through Christmas, but on some advice from a couple of very good doctors (they know who they are), we decided to leave a few weeks earlier. It was a hard decision to make, because as much as I want to return home, I wanted to spend Christmas with the family AND I didn’t want to disappoint anyone.
After I finalized my ticket, I then set about the task of changing Sean’s ticket. Not as easy as it should be. We originally bought the ticket online, cause you’re supposed to be able to change it online, right? Wrong!!! I spent an hour on the phone with the online agent and still not luck. They had to contact the airline, and of course, the airline wasn’t reachable!! We were then told to contact the airline directly, only to have them refer us back to the online agent!! ARRGH! So, now, I have to wait up until midnight again in order to call the agency, and get them to do their job. The whole reason we do our ticketing online is so that we don’t have to spend hours on the phone. Ho hum! Oh, yeah, all these calls are international, just to add insult to injury.
Okay, I have had my vent. I’m very excited to be going home. Now I feel like my train has pulled into the station and I’m getting ready to board. Soon, things will be moving, plans falling into place (if I can ever get the travel agent and airline to co-operate!!!), and I’ll be able to begin preparing my home for my Little Jelly Bean.
Yeah, you are coming home! Maybe I will get to see you before I head back to the US for Christmas on Dec. 2nd!
