Mum and I have spent the last few days resting and visiting friends in our neighbourhood. It’s nice to see all my old friends. The other day we had lunch at a little restaurant across from the church – Peter and Alee make really good food, and we eat there whenever we can. Peter speaks really good English, having lived in America for many years, so he and Mum had a good chat. I’ve been eating Thai food every chance I get – for a while there I wasn’t able to look at it or smell, now I can’t get enough of it. It really is the most wonderful food on the planet.
Friday night was Hannah’s 10th Birthday Party. She had a pool party, icecream cake and 2 sleep overs. I really wish I had remembered my camera, cause it was an eventful evening. We just had so much fun. I’m a big kid at heart, so I fit right in.
I really enjoyed church Sunday Morning – worshipping in Thai and listening to Pastor Gampon translating (we had an american preach this morning, but it was good, cause I was able to listen to both languages and remember how to translate!!! I’ll be expected to begin translating soon, so I’d better get back in the swing of it lickerty split!!!). And it was so good to be with all my Thai brothers and sisters. Sunday night we went to P’Tang’s birthday party. It was a very special time, as P’Tang almost didn’t make it to this birthday, due to a near fatal car accident he had several months ago. So, as we sat around eating Sticky rice and Laab Muu, we rejoiced and thanked God that P’Tang is still with us.
Little JB is really kicking. I’ve been able to feel her since about week 11, but now it just seems that she kicks non stop and I can even feel her when I’m standing up – which is new as of a few days ago.
