On Saturday Mum and I rescued a miniature poodle from a fate worse than death – being sent to a kennel!! It’s only temporary. Our good friend, Jenni went back to USA for Christmas and left her precious puppy with her house mate. After two weeks she announced she was taking her to a kennel. So, Jenni begged us to find a home for her. We decided to go get her and put the word out that she needs a temporary family. She’s an inside dog and I don’t really have a choice but to keep her in side, cause Rusty and Kre would eat her and Honey would probably play with her to death….. Thankfully Mum has adopted full responsibility for the rambunctious rascal and I don’t have to worry myself too much. Except that my methods are far sticter and now Gracie jumps on the furniture, cause Mum let her do it while I wasn’t watching… She’s such a pushover.

Sunday morning I awaken to my 3 crazy dogs going balistic in their cages. Humph!! What’s wrong this time??? Then I hear the sound of a chicken!!! So, I pull myself out of bed and go investigate. Back yard – one mangy black rooster. Front yard – one red and green rooster, well kept, shiny feathers, obviously the pride of his master. So, I chase them toward the back fence, but instead they fly over the fence to James and Jill’s house. The shiny red made it all the way to the roof!!! Ahhh, now it’s somebody elses problem. That’s what I like to see. I was just thankful that my dogs were still locked up, or I would have found feathers, not roosters. And I would have had one very upset neighbour to deal with. I almost feel like putting a sign on the back fence in Thai saying, “I have 3 dogs that like chicken. Guard your prize rooster well. I can’t be held responsible for the outcome of the next rooster invasion.”
