Yesterday my Little Thai Kick Boxer turned 31 weeks!! Woo hoo – only 9 weeks to go. Lately, due to the way she moves and a change in the sensations, I figured she must now be ‘head down, bum up’. Today I went in for a check up and I was delighted to find that my assumption that she had turned was correct. So far I’ve never really been able to tell which body part is jabbing where, so it’s fun to know that I have finally figured it out. Sometimes she sticks her little bum out on the left side of my tummy with her feet sticking out on the right side (makes for an interesting belly sculpture). She just sits there for a while…. and then proceeds to pummel me with her little fists. Other times she just practices her Muay Thai (Thai Kick Boxing). When this happens, anything resting on my abdomen goes flying. The other day I was cross stitching, resting the frame on the Big Belly, and I think she didn’t appreciate being used as a PLP*, so BOOM! the whole thing goes flying mid stitch. Time for Mum to find a new position…
This evening we had our little friend Hannah over. Sean is helping her with an assignment about “The Black Death”. It’s quite alot of fun helping her with her homework, something that we have enjoyed over the years. So, after homework is done, and Hannah’s having dinner, Sean decided to brush her hair. I said, “He’s getting practice for when he’s a Daddy”. Hannah’s reply, “If I was a baby, I’d be screaming right now!” Well, we just lost it. Hannah is so sweet and precocious and she always has the best come backs. I think she’s learned alot from her Mum and Dad…
*PLP = Public Leaning Post.
