I really liked the staff at the clinic, and the doctor is great. I woke up in pretty bad pain, but thankfully the pain killers started to work in about 20 mins. It was a weird feeling to have surgery and return home within 3 hours of being wheeled into recovery. My past 2 surgeries (not IF related) I stayed in the hospital for a couple of days.

I slept most of the day, and things were going really well, until dinner time when I overate. Silly me – I was in excruciating pain for 2 hours, because the gas they pumped into my abdomen for the surgery was pushing against my stomach and my diaphram. Ouch. Live and learn.

So, I’ll be laid up for 3 or 4 days, but hopefully as a result of this surgery, I will begin to ovulate spontaneously, and we might be able to get pregnant without further procedures (it’s a slim chance, but the hope is still there).

Well, obviously the surgery worked. And we got our miracle. The doctor expected me to be one at least 3 months of daily injections and IUI treatment, but 2 weeks later I ovulated. Then on August 18, 2006 blood tests confirmed that we were having a baby. Yay God!!
