Samantha is getting more and more eloquent each day.
Her first phrase was “Where’s Rusty?“
From there she’s been asking “What’s that?” or “What is it?” on a daily basis.
More recently I’ve heard her say, “Up” for pick me up; “get out” meaning ‘get me out of the car seat or pack n play’; “duce” or “sippy” when she wants a drink; “let’s go outside!” very impatiently, as she grabs her shoes and tries to put them on.
Today was a big speech day!!
This morning she said, “Wake up daddy?? Why are you sleeping?”
She asked, “Where are you going?” several times when I went to have a shower.
At bath time this evening, when I was taking far too long to get her in the bath, she said, “I want to go in there!”
Then, to top it off, I said, “Night Night, Daddy” as I was taking her to bed, and she said, “Night Night” over and over again.
I know that she’s been saying all this stuff before, I just couldn’t understand her – she would get so frustrated at me. I realize this stuff is rather boring for all you seasoned parents out there. But it’s so cool that I can finally understand my Princess’s babbling and can respond with more than a laugh or “what did you say?”
