My Computer has been in the “Technology Hospital” for 5 excruciating week. Finally, it’s home and life can now return to normal. Although, maybe now is a good time to turn over a new leaf.
My 12 step “Facebook-aholics Anonymous” program is working quite well, so I think that I’ll try to spend more time in real life than cyberspace from now on. We’ll see how that goes…
I have several projects I’m working on.
1. There’s the edging for the amazing quilt that my sister made for my daughter. Still gotta sew that up so that Samantha can actually use it.
2. I’ve got a travel pillow to make for Sam for our trip to USA.
3. Um… let’s see. Oh yeah, the photos for Samantha’s 1st year milestone book.
4. A “Big Kid’s Sleep Sack” to make – one with foot holes so Sam can run around while she’s wearing it.
5. Guitar Practice and more guitar practice.
6. Oh, and that cross stitch I started a year ago that still isn’t done. (I’m really not a sewer at heart, so these projects really are like pulling teeth!)
I have to try really hard to ballance my life between being connected with the real world around me, and being connected with my friends I can only communicate with on-line.
If you look on my blog you can find an oath, or pledge or whatever, that I’ve copied onto the sidebar. I think it’s a worthy attempt.
Even still, I’m so grateful you were drawn to the computer and we chatted last night.
I hope you find the energy and focus to work on the things you want to, especially the sewing that needs to be done, and just gets put off. I have some apron projects that are like that. I have about 6 aprons I need to make and send to different people, but it’s that getting started that is so hard.
By the way, I was looking at the I.F. links on your blog here and the following didn’t work anymore.
RESOLVE MN:Things we wish you knew
RESLOVE MN:Friends and Family
parenting after infertility (the word infertility is spelled inferility in the link, correcting this went to the page.)
Not that I’m trying to keep you at the computer longer, just thought you’d want to know.
Love and hugs,
Crystal
ooh can I come watch when you finish your quilt? I need to learn how to do that.
C – thanks for reminding me about the broken links…
M – I’m not really sure you’d learn anything from me… my sister started the stitching, and I just have to finish it off. You can definitely tell the difference between the expert and the wanna be! 🙂
