Ever since we arrived in Utopia (aka USA), Samantha has been struck with all manner of strange ailments… flu, ear infections, mystery illnesses that will not be cured… she’s even been attacked by American Ticks!
Samantha has always been a healthy child. She’s had minor illnesses and fought them off quicker than her peers in Thailand. This kid has a turbo immune system. But since we stepped of the plane she’s been the poster child for “The Snot-Nosed Kid” AND “Rudolf the Red-Nosed Reindeer”. I think she’s gone through more tissues and wipes in the last 2 months than she did in the first 19 months of her life.
Some have very seriously explained that she’s obviously immune to Thai bugs, but is now encountering New U.S. Bugs and is having a hard time fighting them off. Humph! Fooey! Lovely reception these U.S. Bugs have given one of their own! It’s about as pleasant as the welcome TSA, Customs and Immigration gives you when you arrive home from abroad.
No, I maintain that Samantha is allergic to America. And I better get her back to Thailand lickety split – before the world’s supply of tissues runs out and landfills are overflowing with the waste products of “The Snot-Nosed Kid”.
LOL. Love the comment about land fill. Sorry to hear that Samantha is so sick. Hope she is feeling better soon.
Give her a big kiss from her aunty Nini.
Love Stephanie
