After 2 wonderful weeks in CA, we flew off to the Washington State to spend a restful week with our good friends Amber and Jake. Amber is also pregnant and her first little miracle is due 10 days before mine – that is, of course, if the munchkins choose to keep the schedule (which they rarely do).

A & J live on the beautiful Olympic Peninsula (is that what it’s called???) in a little town called Sequim (not the correct pronounciation). Actually, they live on a cliff, with deer wondering through their yard, young eagles showing off in the skies above, and otters playing in the Pacific Ocean below.

Sean spent lots of time out in the freezing cold, helping Jake with various jobs around the place, while I stayed indoors with Samantha and Amber. I have ‘Below65degreesF-a-phobia’, and so avoid unnecessary exposure as much as possible.

We did get to do alot of fun things:
Sean went horse riding with Jake’s younger sister.
All of us walked down to the Spit to enjoy the view, but the pregnant ladies put a dampener on things by being unwilling to walk the 5 miles to the light house.
On the final day, drove up to the Snow Capped mountains and introduced Samantha to the snow. She had a blast, especially after figuring out it tasted pretty good!
We also got to cuddle a 1 day old lamb – Samantha took great delight in this.

And the adventure keeps going… but that’s for later.
