Outside my window… A cool breeze and a light mist are resting on the house and woods. It’s gonna be a perfect day.

I’m thinking… about the Missions Conference at CityLife Church this last weekend. They welcomed all the missionaries with open arms, and treated us like heroes. The theme was Standing Strong, and they taught on the many areas where a Missionary needs to stand strong in Christ. It’s been a long time since I was able to just sit back and receive teaching – I’m either teaching, leading worship, tranlating or taking care of my kids. I don’t get to sit through services. What a luxury! I feel refreshed and ready for the next adventure that we’re about to embark on as a family.

From the school room… Samantha had a rough day yesterday. After a full-on 3 day conference, where she spent the entire time playing really hard with some very cool babysitters, going back to structured play wasn’t easy. Also, all weekend she knew that Mummy and Daddy were in the same building and we checked on her several times a day. Being back at school, knowing that we were not so close made her a little mad. I so appreciated the teachers report: “Samantha was not herself today.” I don’t like it when my little angel acts out. But I know that it’s all part of her stage AND a result of the constant change we put her through. So, I’m learning my own lessons about Grace and Mercy and Discipline, as I figure how to respond to her needs.

I’m thankful… for Sean. He is an amazing Husband and Father. Sean has kept and fulfilled all the promises he made on the day we got married. He’s taken me on grand adventures and helped me to overcome many of my fears. He challenges me to be better and stronger. He’s been a rock through the hard times. He’s a Mighty Man of God. I thank God for giving me this awesome gift: A husband that walks closely with his God and leads his family with integrity and strength. And he still thinks I’m the most phenomenally gorgeous woman in the world, so I think he’s a keeper.

I am reading… not time to read, not even articles on the internet. But I would like to get some mp3 books so that I can listen to them while I work.

I am hearing… Nana entertaining my grumpy, teething little man. This is alot harder for him than it was for his big sister.

Around the house… the house is abuzz with preparation for our next trip. Clothes and toys everywhere. Cleaning and scrubbing, packing and storing.

One of my favourite things… midnight chats with my hubby, when everyone else is asleep and there’s noone to interupt the conversation.

A few plans for the rest of the week… Lists and lists of lists about what to take and what to leave. Trying to pack up 2 adults and 2 kids into one weeks worth of goodies that need to last about 2 months… and we’re between seasons, so it ain’t that easy.

A Picture thought for the day… Samantha loves Timothy.
