It’s a few days late, cause it’s been a mad house settling in here in Fresno.

Outside my window… children are running and playing. There’s a swimming pool!! Yay! I haven’t had a chance to use it yet, but it’s there.

I’m thinking… this is gonna be a good time. making new friends, learning new things, getting ready for the next part of the adventure. The schedule is very demanding, and I hope that Samantha and Timothy don’t suffer as a result. I’m so glad that Sean’s Mom is here to help us settle in. She’s been my life line the last few days, keeping the kids and house in order as we run from meeting to meeting and test to test. I hope it settles down, but based on what others have told me, it won’t.

From the school room… what school room?? like I said, it’s a mad house.

I’m thankful for… my Mother In Law. I wish she could stay with us the entire time we are here, but she has a life, too! She’s Her departure is as much part of my personal growth during this time as anything else. I will miss her everyday.

I’m reading… tests, tests and more tests. Tomorrow I’ll spend 3-4 hours in an office doing another test. arrrgggghhhh.

I’m hearing… the sound of the hard drive on the borrowed computer.

Around the house… I made sure that we ‘moved in’ the very first night we were here. Everything has it’s place, and thanks to MIL it’s stayed there. I like the organization and lack of clutter, so I hope I can keep up the good housekeeping work after she’s gone.

One of my favourite things… Afternoon naps… even when the kids are awake.

A few plans for the week… interview babysitters, make play dates for the kids, check out the day care option for Samantha… and did I mention more meetings and tests???

A picture thought for the day… in words: Samantha runs to the side of the pool, and obediently waits on the top step for Daddy to arrive. Then after a few minutes of playing, she runs around to the side of the pool, and jumps into the deep water where Daddy is now waiting to catch her. She knows that Daddy will always be there to catch her.
