I’m sitting here watching my son, Timothy, play with a block. He keeps dropping it, and then he chases after it. He finally started crawling about 2 days ago, and is enjoying his new found freedom. Samantha is taking her afternoon nap. She’s finally getting the whole potty training thing, and is matching colours and shapes. It amazes me how kids just ‘get’ stuff. We tried for a year to potty train Samantha, and I pretty much gave up. Now she’s decided to go for it. It’s the same with the colours and a myriad of other things. My kids amaze me. My kids exhaust me. My kids bring out the best and the worst in me. My kids are an awesome gift from God.

2 and a half seems to be the age that something clicks with toilet training. Jordan just ran around with out pants on over our summer when he was two and half. The whole thing was such a breeze, so when Luke decided to toilet train himself at 2 I was really worried! I thought it was going to be a long hard road, but true to form for Luke once he decided to do it he pulled it off without a hitch!
