Yesterday morning my computer died. I wasn’t too shocked, we all knew it was coming. And given that my Darling Husband is a computer guru, I figured it would all be okay.
He worked all day and night to bring it back to life, and he succeeded. I have a functioning computer. But I think that it suffered a major lack of oxygen for too long, because there is no data on it. Now I have to re-train it to submit to my will.
I think the biggest loss for me in this is that I lost all my Firefox bookmarks. Pretty sad, huh? Fifty-Five Gigs of info just fell of the face of the earth, and the thing that bothered me the most was losing internet bookmarks- hundreds of bookmarks that I actually use. Although, as I begin to think about the photos, emails and addresses, various programs, and music that I lost, a deeper sense of disappointment sets in.
