Miss Five and Master Three where playing Birthdays this afternoon. In the dirt.
They made a Mud Cake with ‘Sugar’ on top, baked it in the oven and then put it on the window sill to cool (how they knew to do that, I don’t know…).
We sang Happy Birthday to ‘Kaden Lightening McQueen Rainbow Dash’ (Master Three’s Current Alias).
As he blew out the Candles, Miss Five said, “What did you wish for??”
“Um, Oh! I want a Race Car!” answered KLMRD.
“No. Not like that. I mean a wish like this: I wish that we could all be together for ever and ever and never be apart.”
“Oh, okay. I wish that.”
Miss Five smiled. “Good boy. Now, here’s your new Lightning McQueen Race Car and T-Shirt and Lunch Box.”
So, What’s Important?
Well, for Master Three, it’s Everything Lightening McQueen.
For Miss Five, it’s Togetherness and Love and Family. And Being In Charge.
I’m trying to figure out if this difference in priorities is a Personality Thing or an Age Thing. Hmm?
At the end of the day, the Sweetest and Most Important thing is that Miss Five and Master Three are excellent Comrades and absolutely Adore each other. (Master Three’s willingness to Comply probably has a lot to do with that).
This is just plain awesome in every way.

I think it may be a bit of both, and I really hate to say it (it hurts every feminist bone in my body) but Miss Five happens to be a girl, and that's what girls are about. Family, togetherness, and being in charge! — haha I love that!
