It’s day one of week two! The Whirlwind continues. I just woke up from a late afternoon nap, because my energy was so depleted my body simply stopped working.

This week we are studying the Kingdom of God. What better place to start than looking at His Glory and His Grace. I am blown away by the love, the compassion, the mercy of my Heavenly Father; by the way He pursues us with His love; by the passion He has for relationship with a world that is running headlong in the opposite direction.

I was hoping to write a little about what we are learning, but as I look at my notes I see that I cannot encapsulate the Glory of God and His Abounding, Amazing Grace into two short points. But one quote that I love is this:

“Religion is man’s attempt at earning points with a God that is no longer keeping score”.

Don Stephens is our lecturer this week, and if you want to look at some of the stuff that we are learning this week, then please visit his blog: Dispatches from the Shadowlands.  I just wish that I could be in class every day, but as a leader I have other responsibilities, so I am very glad that Don has this website! And I can’t wait to listen to the mp3s of the sessions I miss.
