There’s nothing quite so Satisfying as an evening walk with the family. Running and skipping down the road with the kids. Chatting with the hubby. Making the dog happy.
And there’s nothing quite so Annoying as the Sacred Family Walk being interrupted by Toxic Fumes.

It was getting dark, and we were about a block from our home. Out here in the woods, there are no side walks, so when we heard a vehicle approached, we stopped on the side of the road. It was moving very slow and emitting a strange noise. I thought it was golf cart – lots of our neighbours use them. It was a pick up truck, and I noticed a strange contraption in the back. The noise stopped a moment while it passed, and then began again about 6 feet from us.
A cloud of grey fumes descended upon us, our children and our dog. We are literally stuck in the middle of the Toxic Fumes. The only escape routes were into the pond, into the overgrown woods or into the fumes.
We told the kids to cover their faces with their t-shirts, picked them up and began running home. The Truck came around a second time, threatening to block our escape, but turned down a different street. By the time we got home, it was headed back around to our street.
I am spitting chips that my kids were exposed to gallons of Toxic mosquito spray in our neighbourhood – undoubtedly sanctioned by either the county or homeowners association.
But did they give the residents any warning?
No. They just waltzed in, spewing out toxic chemicals into my kids faces.
Why didn’t he wait till he was at the end of the road before resuming the spraying??
Why didn’t he stop to tell us what he was doing, to give us time to safely get home??
They know this stuff is Toxic. It’s well documented what it does to people, and to the wildlife in our Bird Sanctuary. So, why would they moronically blow it in our faces and the faces of our children??
Oh yeah: The guy just doesn’t care.
And having lived in Asia, where they do this kind of spraying regularly and with great abandon (at least they warn the residents of each neighbourhood when and where they will be spraying, so that you can prepare yourself for it!) —
I KNOW that it does absolutely NO GOOD.
It does NOT kill mosquitoes.
It kills everything BUT mosquitoes!
*This is not the actual vehicle that sprayed us with Toxic Fumes, but it looked exactly like it! And the cloud was a lot thicker.
